Late Shri Chandrashekar Sorake, a great visionary of his times was a man of simplicity, honesty and kindness. He upheld moral values of life and wanted to uplift standards of the society. He lent his helping hand to the needy from the times of his schooling.

His dedication earned him the respect of his relatives, colleagues, friends and the general public.He spent his entire life in social service and was a dignified person in the society

Shri Chandrashekar Sorake did his primary & secondary schooling in Puttur and came to Mangalore for further education. He did his higher studies from St.Aloysious College, Mangalore and completed his B.A in Madras.

He was very fond of education. He was the only well educated in his family. He had a great intention to impart education for free to the society as a service. He counted the prayers of the poor as a blessing. and according to him to be successful in life, we have to aim high and work hard towards the goal.

He fulfilled his vision by leaving behind Karnataka Education & Charitable Trust which offers education through a variety of courses.
